Learn MoreThe hill climbing ability of a golf cart depends a lot on how well the drive and the driven clutches transition from their top speed cruising position to their low speed pulling position. These two golf cart clutches or pulleys must work together as a single unit and that requires both to be in good condition.
Learn MoreOct 02 2019 · Pulley fell off and I could see the threading was bad so I ordered an entirely new pulley. I replaced it and it happened again. Learn MoreCalculate the sizes of the pulleys. Get the speed ratio by dividing the speed in RPM of the power shaft by the speed in RPM of the load shaft. Assume a power shaft pulley size of 4 inches. This is generally a good size for efficient belt operation. Multiply by the speed ratio. The result will give the load shaft pulley

Learn MoreUsually a bad or failing idler pulley will produce a few symptoms that can notify the driver of an issue. 1. Visibly worn pulleys. One of the first symptoms of an issue with an idler pulley is visible wear on the pulley. Over time as the pulley spins against the belt both components will eventually start to wear.
Learn MoreTo determine the input or output speed or the pulley and cog sizes needed in a drive you may use a simple ratio. Given any three items you can solve for the fourth. With a V-Belt drive the answer is theoretical due to belt slippage and with a timing belt or a chain drive not every answer provided is an available combination.
